Rivoli remodel!

Rivoli will be closed from July 13 through 26 for a little spiffing up. We’ve hired Martin/Heid Design/Build to rethink our space. Eric Heid has recently built Adesso in Oakland and Serpentine in the City, but we thought of him because of his work on Range, one of our favorite places in the City.
I hope that your new design will include enough soft surfaces to dampen the noise a bit. We’ve been to a few restaurants that were all hard surfaces (tile, glass, wood, steel, etc.), and we couldn’t have a conversation over dinner without shouting at each other. I don’t think that’s been the Rivoli style up to now; please don’t go there.
Yes, we’re tracking the decibel level at Rivoli and targeting the same level this time too. If plan A isn’t enough, we have a plan B. Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it.
